Diageo is set to acquire a majority stake in Vijay Mallya-owned United Spirits Ltd for $2 billion, according to reports. Diageo, the world's largest spirits maker, is likely to acquire 53.4 per cent stake in the company. Vijay Mallya will remain the chairman of USL.
