Australia have defeated India in the second Test in Sydney by an innings and 68 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

In reply to Australia's 659/4d, India made 400 in their second innings after scoring 191 in their first innings.

Gautam Gambhir made 83, Sachin Tendulkar 80, VVS Laxman 66 and R Ashwin scored 62.
