News Portal: India’s April retail inflation at 10.36%

Consumer price-based inflation for the month of April rose to 10.36 per cent, higher than the 9.38 per cent in March. Food inflation grew at a pace of 10.18 per cent, up from 8.22 per cent last month. The prices are based on the recently-launched consumer price index (CPI) that captures prices at the retail level instead of at the wholesale level.
