Kings XI Punjab have won the toss against Chennai Super Kings and have opted to bat first, at Chepauk.

Adam Gilchrist continues to be out of action and Punjab will be led by David Hussey. Chennai play Shadab Jakati.

Chennai have nine points from eight matches and are currently placed third in the points table. Punjab have six from eight.
