A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker has been stabbed to death in Delhi's Model Town area allegedly by a party councilor.

The incident happened last night reportedly after Jai Prakash had a heated argument with Madhav Prasad, who is a sitting BJP councilor and a contestant from ward number 71, Sangam Park in north-west Delhi.

Madhav Prasad has been detained and is being questioned by the police.
