| Writer Salman Rushdie has finally got permission to participate via a video link at the Jaipur Literature Festival today. It's the the fifth and final day of the event.
The session will begin at 3:45 pm and will last for an hour.
Organisers of the festival say that the video chat with the controversial author will take place within the ambit of the law. Complaints have been filed in different courts against five writers who read excerpts over the weekend from Mr Rushdie's banned book, The Satanic Verses. | |
