| Pakistan's Supreme Court has issued a contempt of court notice to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
He has been asked to personally appear in court on January 19.
A 17-member bench was furious today that the government had not obeyed a deadline that ended today for it to make clear its plans on re-opening cases of corruption against President Asif Ali Zardari on the court's orders. Last week, the court had warned Mr Gilani that he could be disqualified and that action could also be taken against President Zardari if the government kept defying its orders on the issue. | |
