| It was threatening to be yet another crisis for the cash-strapped national carrier Air India when at least 40 pilots of the airline called in sick this morning, allegedly over non-payment of their allowances. However, the pilots have now called off their agitation, after the management assured them that their dues will be cleared by March.
The erstwhile Indian Airlines pilots had gone on strike claiming they haven't received their flying allowances for the past six months.
At least 44 Air India flights, including some from and to international destinations, were cancelled due to the agitation | |
