News Portal: 1 dead, 1 injured in attack on Manipur Speaker's residence

One person has died and another is critical after a blast at the residence of Manipur Speaker I Hemochandra. The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was thrown at the Speaker's residence. The Speaker was, however, not home that time. Mr Hemochandra was at his constituency Shingjamei. The police have cordoned off the area. Underground outfits in Manipur have issued threats against the Congress and its candidates ahead of the state assembly polls.
