2. Altova Server Software Version 2014

Version 2014 of Altova's new line of cross-platform, high-performance server software provides new features including caching options in FlowForce Server, and increased performance powered by RaptorXML in MapForce Server and StyleVision Server.

New in FlowForce® 2014

FlowForce Server supports job triggers that automatically start processing of preconfigured jobs: time triggers on a specific schedule, file system triggers based on changes to a file or folder, and HTTP triggers that poll for changed in a URL.

FlowForce Server also lets you configure jobs as on-demand Web services, using the HTTP protocol. This feature makes executing a FlowForce Server job as easily as opening a Web page in a browser window. The job result or any error message is delivered back as a Web page.

However, if the FlowForce Server job takes a long time to process, for instance because the job requires complex database queries or needs to make its own Web service data requests, the result might not be available for several minutes. Caching job results solves this problem.

Now, in FlowForce Server 2014, you schedule the execution of a time-consuming job and save - or cache - the results. The cached results can then be provided when any user executes the job as a service, delivering instant results.

Update Now

Version 2014 is an included update for all current customers of Altova Server Software. Update now!

Or, if you haven't tried Altova Server Products, a 30-day trial is also available.
