India finish Day 1 on 323/4 against England in the first Test match being played at Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad.

For the hosts, Virender Sehwag scored 117 off 117 balls while Cheteshwar Pujara got 98* off 181 balls.

For England, Graeme Swann took all the four wickets to fall in the day giving away 85 runs in 32 overs.
