Home Ministry rejects Ajmal Kasab's mercy plea

The Union Home Ministry has rejected the mercy plea of terrorist and lone surviving 26/11 gunman Ajmal Amir Kasab.

The ministry has also sent its recommendation to President Pranab Mukherjee.

166 people were killed in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. While Kasab was captured, the other nine terrorists who had sailed with him from Karachi to Mumbai and attacked the city, were killed during counter-terror operations.
