The Trinamool Congress has decided to quit the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre over the hike in diesel prices, restriction on subsidised gas cylinders and FDI in multi-brand retail announced last week.

Trinamool Congress ministers will resign on Friday. The Mamata Banerjee-led party has six ministers at the Centre.

The decision was taken after the West Bengal Chief Minister met her party leaders in Kolkata.
