Quake of 7.9 magnitude strikes off Philippines: USGS

NEWS FLASH An 7.9-magnitude earthquake rocked the Philippines on Friday and a tsunami warning had been issued for the region, the US Geological Survey and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.
