| Maruti Suzuki, India's largest passenger car maker has said it will start production at its Manesar facility from August 21, with adequate security measures.
The auto major said that there will be protection from 200 armed Rapid Action force within the premises and 300 armed RAF outside the premises. Moreover, 15 workers involved in the incident have been arrested.
The company had declared a lock-out at the plant in Haryana, that produces 550,000 vehicles a year, following large scale violence by workmen on 18 July in which a senior HR executive was killed and over 100 others were injured. | |
