Ecuador has decided to grant asylum to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Mr Assange, an Australian national who is wanted for questioning over sexual assault allegations in Sweden, has been holed up in Ecuador's London embassy since June.

Britain had earlier threatened to storm Ecuador's embassy in London to retrieve Mr Assange. Ecuador has rejected the threat and has accused UK of "complete intimidation".
