India score 307/5 at the end of the opening day's play of the 1st Test against New Zealand, in Hyderabad.

Cheteshwar Pujara top-scored for the hosts with an unbeaten 119, his first Test century. He will resume the innings with skipper MS Dhoni (29*).

For New Zealand, Trent Boult claimed two wickets.

Play resumes 0930 (IST) on Friday.
