Gunmen have launched multiple attacks in the Afghan capital of Kabul.

Blasts and gunfire have been reported in the central diplomatic area and at the Afghan parliament, according to witnesses and officials. Attackers have also fired rockets at the parliament building and at the Russian embassy.

Insurgents have also stormed a five-star hotel near the presidential palace and the Iranian embassy.
