A day before Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's visit to Assam, a blast has been reported in the state's Sibsagar district. There are no reports of any casualty.

The blast occurred on a railway track in the district. Three trains - Kamrup Express, Rajdhani and Intercity - have been stopped at various stations.

The banned militant organisation United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) had issued a threat ahead of the PM's visit.
