| The Child Welfare Services (CWS) in Norway has recommended that the custody of the two children of an NRI couple should be granted to their uncle, Arunabhash Bhattacharya. The court will take a final decision on the matter on March 23.
Three-year-old Abhigyan and one-year-old Aishwarya have been placed under foster care since May last year. Their parents, Anurup and Sagarika Bhattacharya, have been fighting with Norwegian authorities to secure custody of their children.
The children's grandparents are on a four-day strike in New Delhi to demand an early resolution to the custody battle. External Affairs Minister SM Krishna has assured them that India will get the children back at any cost. | |
