| A school bus today plunged into a river at Aldona village, 15 kms away from Goa's capital Panaji, leaving over a dozen students missing, police said.
Although the number of students travelling in the bus is not clear, locals claimed that there were atleast 15 of them.
The incident took place this morning when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell into the Kalvi river, they said. There are reports that the brakes of the vehicle may have failed.
Three children were reportedly rescued after a major search operation was initiated immediately after the mishap. Fire brigade as well as police divers have been rushed to the spot. | |
